Ben Affleck knows he is somehow always looking sad and miserable, and at last night’s Grammys, he decided to capitalize on the hilarious photos.
Despite being an award-winning Hollywood star, Ben is unlucky when it comes to being photographed because he always looks unhappy to be at many ceremonies celebrating the stars. Ben attended last year’s Grammys with his wife Jennifer Lopez; honestly, she didn’t look so enthused to be there, either. However, in a hilarious advert that played during the ceremony break last night, he poked fun at the ‘sad’ Ben Affleck meme from the 2023 Grammys.

The actor put on his comedy hat to complete the ad, which played in one of the commercial breaks.
In the clip, he’s trying to become a pop star, knowing he can’t ‘sing/dance’ or how he has a lack of coordination.
At the beginning of the video we see Ben looking at the news, which has the headline ‘The boredest man in the world’, while he sits next to his wife J-Lo.
He dismissed that he looked ‘bored’ and said he was actually “studying, observing, always watching”, and thinks he can become the next viral singer.
Next, he ‘calls’ up his wife to roll off some ideas of his pop star name and puts B-Lo on the table as an option. But it sounds like it didn’t go down well with the singer.

While attending the Grammys, Ben Affleck looked like he wanted to be anywhere else in the world. A clip caught by the cameras shows the 51-year-old looking around him as Sam Smith and Kim Petras performed on stage.
However, his music star spouse didn’t fare much better, as the Jenny From the Block singer can be seen unenthusiastically clapping along to the rhythm – though she looks much more comfortable than Ben. This could be explained by the fact the celebrity “doesn’t keep up” with the music industry … and the fact he had a surprise encounter with host Trevor Noah.

During the sketch, Trevor is on the phone to his mom, reassuring her following Sam and Kim’s performance of the controversial hit Unholy. “Mom, it wasn’t the actual devil. No, they were just dressed as the devil, Mom,” he quipped. He did this while sat next to Jennifer and Ben.
But the Good Will Hunting star said he had no idea it was part of the awards show skit.
He said: “No. I had a good time at the Grammys. My wife was going, and I thought, ‘Well, there’ll be good music. It might be fun.’ At movie award shows, it’s speeches and, like, sound-mixing webinars. But I thought this would be fun.
“I saw [Grammy host Trevor Noah approach] and I was like, “Oh, God.” They were framing us in this shot, but I didn’t know they were rolling.
“I leaned into her and I was like, ‘As soon they start rolling, I’m going to slide away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor.’ She goes, ‘You better f****** not leave.’ That’s a husband-and-wife thing.”

Jennifer Lopez herself has spoken out about his ‘unhappy’ face in photos. She thinks it’s not a big deal.
Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts on Ben Affleck looking unhappy during the Grammys last year.
However, others were quick to defend him.
One person wrote: “People are so weird. Ben is there to support her, being there is clearly not something he’s familiar with, he doesn’t do music & not everyone likes to dance. That doesn’t mean he’s miserable. Not everyone likes to be around a lot of ppl but he’s there for her.”
Another penned: “He just looks like any other married man …. Nothing to see here. Leave the poor guy alone.”
